Meet Dr. Ashwath
Board-certified gastroenterologist Ramesh Ashwath, MD, FACG. serves adults of all ages, at Bay Area Advanced Gastroenterology Care in Brandon, Florida. Dr. Ashwath is double board-certified, internal Medicine from University of Illinois, and Gastroenterology/ Hepatology at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). He has further acquired advanced training in Interventional Endoscopy at VCU. He has served the Tampa Bay community as a Consultant Gastroenterologist since the year 2010. Dr. Ashwath has privileges at several hospitals in Tampa Bay including: St. Joseph South, Brandon Regional and Advent Carrollwood.
Dr. Ashwath has been treating patients for more than 30 years. He has exceptional endoscopic skills and is medically very knowledgeable.
He has presented his research at national scientific meetings, published research papers in peer-reviewed journals and authored textbook chapters. He Is recognized by his patients as an attentive listener with true compassion to their gastrointestinal health. He has been awarded the “Fellow of American College of Gastroenterology Award”. His colleagues commend him as a hard worker ,always available for their patient referrals and facilitates seamless coordination of care. He loves getting to know his patients as a person and being their advocate for health. Dr. Ashwath dedicates his time to developing custom care plans that ease uncomfortable gastrointestinal symptoms and improve patient quality of life.
In his free time. Dr. Ashwath enjoys being active with his two teenage children, playing with his two pet Cavapoos and traveling/ playing tennis.

Meet Dr. Sanjeevi
Dr. Sanjeevi, double-board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine, offers her extensive experience in several specialty areas including pancreaticobiliary disorders, GI oncology, GI motility and small bowel pathology.
Her services also include endoscopic ultrasound, therapeutic ERCP, deep enteroscopy, routine EGD and colonoscopies.
She has expertise in GI motility, swallowing disorders, manometry, pH bravo and other functional GI disorders.
